One lucky Hallmark Homes’ home owner home free

The new Vogue Collection of affordable luxury housing from Hallmark Homes – which start with a price tag of $105,900 for just under 140sq m – will be a lot more affordable for one lucky customer. During the introductory period, one of the first 50 buyers of a Vogue Collection home will have their house built for free.

Hallmark Homes Sales Manager, Anthony Gilbertson, said the offer was ground-breaking and that no other builder had done it. “We wanted to offer something totally different to the public,” he said. “Customers are getting frustrated by not knowing what they’re getting for the money they’re paying. “With most display homes that you go to, what you see isn’t what you get. We want to show people that you can have the fancy front facade fully included in the price of a house and at a very affordable price.”
The Vogue Collection will include a modern rendered frontage and extensive exterior features, while the interiors will include the most up-to-date design features and finishes. Under-main roof patios with concrete floors will come as standard with all 11 different designs, with many plans also incorporating media rooms.
“Buyer’s expectations are changing,” said Mr Gilbertson, who agreed that this year will usher in big changes for the south-east Queensland company. “We have always provided affordable, good value and quality homes, but we are now transforming that reputation to raise the bar as far as we display our homes. “When you walk through our display homes, what you see is what you get.”
Hallmark Homes have display homes from the Gold Coast to the Sunshine Coast, and has been building in the region for almost 20 years. Mr Gilbertson said that one of the big changes over the past two decades in the building industry had been the increase in competition. “Five years ago, you would find the top two builders doing the same figure (of building new houses), and then there would be a huge step down to the rest of the pack. Now the top five builders are building similar figures to each other, and they’re all large builders.
“We are definitely working very hard to do things differently. We’re offering a house that is affordable but anybody would be happy to show their house off to friends and family, and we are also giving them the opportunity to have their house built for free.”
